Student Newspaper

The Owl is the official student newspaper of Regis, aimed at illuminating and discussing matters of student concern either in school or in the outside world, as well as providing a record of events (e.g. the performance of interscholastic teams, the actions of student government, etc.).

Features include movie and music reviews, faculty and student profiles, cartoons, and humor. Students may participate in a variety of areas: copy (writing and editing news and features), photography (taking and developing pictures), production (typing copy and laying out pages) and business (soliciting advertisements). Although managerial positions are usually occupied by juniors and seniors, students from all four years are welcome to join the staff. The Owl requires almost daily work from its editorial staff; for other members, time commitment varies with responsibility. Time demands increase significantly as publication dates approach. The newspaper is published approximately six to eight times a year.
