Belonging, Dignity, and Justice
Statement of Belonging, Dignity, and Justice
Regis's Catholic and Jesuit mission calls each of us to become more loving so that we can “set the world on fire.” Our faith and values affirm that every person is created in the image of God and that we are transformed through genuine encounters with people from a broad range of backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and experiences. Therefore, Regis strives to cultivate a diverse community - one that thrives when we each experience a healthy sense of self, respect, and care.

Following the example of Jesus in the Gospels and Catholic Social Teaching, we are called to become a community in which all members:

  1. promote a sense of belonging for all, regardless of background or identity;
  2. affirm, through deeds and words, the dignity of all people;
  3. work for justice, especially on behalf of those who are most vulnerable or come from historically marginalized backgrounds; and
  4. demonstrate respect for those who hold different perspectives and a willingness to engage in thoughtful dialogue with them.

Regis does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law in any of its academic, admissions, or employment practices or programs. In its admission process, Regis gives special consideration to families in need of financial assistance.
