“Coffeehouse, which is in its 15th year, allows students to showcase their own and their favorite musical and literary work, and to share it with the Regis community,” said Admissions Officer Mrs. Mary Henninger P’93’98, who moderated the event. “Students who attend tell us it is relaxing to be in the Coffeehouse with friends at the end of a week of classes too.”
Normally taking place in the Regis auditorium, the Coffeehouse continued as an open mic event over Zoom. Students Austin LoPinto ‘21 and Aidan McMahon ‘22 organized the event lineup, which included piano covers, Broadway musical ballads, and spoken word poetry. Alongside the Regis community, students from neighboring sister schools, including Marymount, Dominican Academy, Horace Mann, Loyola, and St. Vincent Ferrer, were also invited to perform and cheer on others.
