Does Social Media Do More Harm Than Good? Let the International Debate Begin
Hearn_gavelOn Monday, March 30 the Hearn, Regis High School's Speech and Debate team, will host Ireland's Sandford Park School in an international debate exhibition. Two-person affirmative and negative teams will debate the resolution: "Social Media Does More Harm Than Good."

The debate with the 93-year-old Dublin school is believed to be the first international debate hosted at Regis. Eric DiMichele, Director of Regis Admissions and longtime Coach of the Hearn, has dubbed this event as "the first major debate of Regis High School's second century."

Ireland’s student participants with be countered by two Regis debaters with their own Irish roots: seniors Colin Donnelly '15 and Brendan Powell '15.

The debate will take place at 7:00 p.m. on March 30. Registration is $10 per person and open to all. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 25.
