Niche, the largest website for researching K-12 schools in the United States, has just published its list of the top high schools in America. For the fourth straight year, Regis has earned top honors as the #1 Catholic High School. The school remains distinguished as the only tuition-free Catholic school on the list. Additionally, Niche also recognized Regis as the #2 All-Boys High School in the country.
Regis earned its #1 ranking for 2019 by scoring highly on a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges our students consider, and reviews from students and parents. While schools do not provide information directly to Niche, the company obtains statistical data from the U.S. Department of Education and then analyzes it to create their annual rankings.
"We certainly are grateful that an outside source recognizes the special and unique characteristics of this Regis education," said Fr. Lahart, SJ, President of Regis. "We don’t tailor our program to such rankings. For over 100 years we've simply fulfilled our mission to educate Catholic young men who demonstrate superior intellectual and leadership potential. Immigrant or native New Yorker, Regis changes lives. We are fortunate to follow in this long, honored tradition."
