Regis Community Comes Together for the 2018 Christmas Tree Lighting

On Friday, December 7, the Regis community celebrated the season at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. The crowd first gathered in the Regis auditorium for prayer and a musical performance. Then, it was time to venture out into the cold of the quad. Father Lahart blessed the tree, and the mass of students, teachers, family, and friends cheered as the Regis Christmas Tree was lit!

After a ceremony filled with music and candlelight, the group moved into the Regis cafeteria for Christmas treats and more music! See some photos from the event below:

The Glee Club was on hand to regale the crowd with Yuletide tunes.

Regians, friends, and parents gathered in the auditorium for a prayer service filled with meditation and music.

Afterwards, the crowd lit candles and ventured outside for the lighting of the Regis Christmas Tree.

The candles in the darkness cast a lovely scene.

Father Lahart, who presided over the lighting, was all smiles after the tree was lit.

A band was on hand in the cafeteria to rock out on some popular Christmas songs.
